The National Daily newspaper (Gorkhapatra) published the Handover ceremony of Yuba Barsa Basic School,Monju, Himalayan Trust Nepal REDSS Project.

The school building damaged by 25 April 2015 earthquake was rebuilt through the cooperation of local community, School, Himalayan Trust Nepal and District Education office, Solukhumbu, Nepal. The Project was funded by Bergretter Helfen Im Himalayan – Austria, Himalayan Trust New Zealand, Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation – Canada, The Peter Cundill Foundation, Himalayan Trust UK, Himalayan Sherpa Foundation – Nepal, Late Mr.Keith Miller – UK and the Local Community.

 On 28 December 2017, the project stakeholders gathered to participate in Annual Review, Learning and Sharing Workshop held at The Malla Hotel, Kathmandu to discuss about the achievements of the REDSS Project and its learnings. Workshop participants included representatives from different stakeholders from government and non-government sectors. Throughout the workshop, participants were mainly engaged in group discussion, presentation,sharing activities. The discussion focused on review against the project objectives and its learning. The findings from this workshop will be shared to donors and project stakeholders as project completion report for REDSS project.
